Course content
|
Types of volunteering, personal assistance, day care service, agencies of domestic care, humanitarian organizations, international contracts in the social area, services of social care and prevention in accordance with the Act no. 108/2006 of the Coll. on social services, as amended by subsequent legal regulations.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will use knowledge acquired from the subjects: Introduction to Studies about Social Problems, Social Politics, Sociological Thinking, General Sociology, Social Deviations in Society, Social Care 1 and 2. The subject gives information about problems of social care and social services for seniors. It provides information on the sequence of social care, health care at social institutions and at health services. It focuses on hospices, volunteering, humanitarian activities and international conventions in social areas.
The student controls the continuity of care for health care in social care and health care , as well as hospice care , volunteering, and international conventions in the social field.

Knowledge of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. , On social services , a typology of social services and benefits for care.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Elaborating an essay on a selected topic, presentation of group work according to a given topic.
