The creation and development of economic theory. Basic terminology of economic theory. Supply and demand. Market mechanism. Consumer theory. Company theory. Land, labour and capital markets. Market mechanism. Imperfections of the market. Unemployment. Inflation. Monetary policy. Fiscal policy. Pension and social policy. Economic growth and the business cycle.

Learning outcomes

Establishment and development of economic theory. Basic concepts of economic theory. Demand and supply. The market mechanism. Consumer theory. Theory of the firm. Market of land, labor and capital. The market mechanism. Market imperfections. Unemployment. Inflation. Monetary Policy. Fiscal policy. Income and social policy. Economic growth and business cycle.
Graduates will be able to explain the essence of the market economy. Orientate the main topics of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Apply their knowledge to the current economic situation of the Czech Republic respectively other states.
