The course is intended to provide an overview of some discussions on nihilism and the meaning of life. We will focus on the contemporary analytic approach. We will assess consequences if nihilism is true, and the relation between nihilism and meta-ethics. General aim of the module: The main goals are: 1) to familiarize participants with the main positions on the meaning of life; 2) to recognize the mutual influence between nihilism and meta-ethical views; and 3) to put participants into a position where they can begin to defend a view of their own (and apply it).
