The aim of the course is to introduce first-year students to the basic concepts of science theory in the context of the humanities. To explain to them the forms of reflection on science that took place during the 20th century, first in philosophy and then in historiography, sociology, psychology, and other scientific disciplines. Students will learn a brief history of the basic theoretical foundations of the humanities in the 20th century, starting with inspiration from the natural sciences, through the concept of spiritual science, inspiration from phenomenology, structuralism, etc. The course concludes with a re-evaluation of these basic concepts in Foucault's conception of the "sciences of man".
