Course content
Development of media technologies, their institutionalization having significant influence on structure of communication relations a a whole, especially in the semiotic sense. Changes of structure consist of changes of relations between medium, channel and the substance nature of code.

Learning outcomes
The course aims to familiarize student with the theory of new media, the various definitions of these new media, their role in the complex of communication processes and their influence on forms of knowledge. One of the course's objectives is also to provide an answer to the question of the extent to which the media aspect influences communication quality and quantity.
Knowledge of theoretical reflection of new media Familiarization with basic terminology, concepts and limits of investigating new media.
