Learning outcomes |
At the end of the course students should: - be able to look into the work of a foreign-language guide in tourism and become acquainted with the basic specifics of working with German-speaking tourists in the Olomouc region with regard to groups of minors (children and adolescents) from foreign countries participating in the field trip; - to provide two-way communication in case of inquiries of foreign-language tourists; - orientate in the problems of monuments, especially the monuments of the region and successfully interpret the interpretation in the museum, church monument, excursion through the open-air museum, city tour, but also be assertively able to handle typical situations in restaurants and hotels and handle potential conflicts. - acquire practical use of selected technical terms used in the touristic interpretation of a given object, i.e. historical, art-historical, building, etc. vocabulary and be able to use it in both directions of interpretation
