Course content
Repetition of didactics and methodology of foreign language teaching: Methods of foreign language teaching. Organizational forms. Linguistic means. Vocabulary and working with it. Grammar and its mediation. Working with pictorial material in foreign language teaching. Teaching materials for foreign language teaching. New methods and practices in foreign language teaching (e.g. autonomous learning, project-based learning). Working with pupils with specific learning difficulties in foreign language teaching. Developing a learning unit.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: acquire the terminology of the field, understand the historical development of foreign language teaching, realize the essence of language skills, name different types of language exercises, develop speaking skills with the help of supplementary didactic materials, realize the categories of vocabular
The student is familiar with the basic terminology in the field of didactics and methodology of foreign language. The student is able to communicate, discuss and argue actively on the basis of the acquired knowledge on the thematic areas defined by the seminar.
Prerequisites
Active knowledge of German language, communication skills and creative thinking. An active approach to teaching students. Performance continuously given tasks. Ability analysis and interpretation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

80% participation in classes. Seminar activity. Completion of all assigned tasks (the form of micro deliverables will be chosen). STUDENTS WITH ISP: For students with ISP, 30% participation in class is sufficient. The special task (completion of the extra activity) will be specified in more detail in the MOODLE system. STUDENTS WITH ISP: Completion of tasks as for students without ISP.
