Course content
- Language as a system; basics of phonetics and phonology, morphology - the issue of morpheme, the system of speech, syntax - the traditional approach; sociolinguistics, historiolinguistics - overview of basic issues; - Excursion to the Information Centre and Library of the University

Learning outcomes
Overview of basic linguistic disciplines. Introduction into modern linguistic theories - phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, lexicology, lexicography, text linguistics. Introduction of new directions linguistics pragmalinguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolingivistics,semiotics.
The student is able, on the basis of acquired knowledge to actively communicate, discuss and argue the thematic seminar circuits defined
Prerequisites
The student is able to discuss and respond in German language in the course.
