Course content
Specifications concepts method, form, learning strategies etc. Types of activation methods. Activating methods: interview, Blitzlicht, Mind Map, Brainstorming. Methods and forms of active work of students in foreign language teaching. Effect of activation methods to pupil, teacher, team. Problems with the introduction of activation methods. Creation, implementation and the realization of activation methods in foreign language teaching. Discussion method, situational methods, staging methods. Problem teaching. Practical suggestions for teaching a foreign language at primary school.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Homework for Teaching - 6 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 6 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: - explain the merits of activation methods in language teaching - enumerate and characterize basic methods of activation - explain the main differences from traditional methods, including the contribution of foreign language teaching - discuss an opinion on the problem defined roles in the German language teaching - propose possible activities in teaching a foreign language using selected activation methods
The student has an overview of basic methods of activation and is able to apply the teaching of NJ for elementary schools.
Prerequisites
Active knowledge of German , successful completion of previous teaching disciplines.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance

Active participation in seminars, participation in the sub-tasks. Creating a quality of presentation of a given topic before the group.
