Course content
The course introduced basic literary periods and their historical, political, and cultural background. Attention is paid to the mutual cultural interaction between Germans and Czechs.

Learning outcomes
The course introduced basic literary periods and their historical, political, and cultural background. Attention is paid to the mutual cultural interaction between Germans and Czechs.
To orient oneself in individual creative periods of literature written in German and relate its tendencies to literary developments in other European literatures, especially to the development of German and Czech literature of the Czech lands.
Prerequisites
Basic orientation in secondary literature, knowledge of periodization and characteristics of individual historical periods, which is the main element of the socio-political background.

Student performance

Active participation in the seminar based on continuous study of the support and other study materials.
