Course content
Authentic texts. Methods of foreign language teaching in relation to working with text. Reading authentic texts. Authentic texts and reading comprehension. Use of strategies in working with authentic texts. Newspapers and magazines as sources of authentic texts. Authentic and inauthentic texts. Texts in contemporary German language textbooks. Preparation of own teaching materials.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - understand the content and meaning of authentic texts - categorize types of texts ? explain the principles of working with authentic texts - be aware of the importance and advantages of using authentic texts in German language teaching - design different types of language exercises for the corresponding text types - create didactic tasks for the relevant text types

Prerequisites
Active knowledge of the German language , critical thinking, creativity, ability to communicate, discuss and argue.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic

Active participation in class. Continuous performance of partial tasks according to the teacher's assignment. Preparation of a text analysis from a German textbook for primary schools (more detailed specification at the beginning of the semester with the teacher of the subject and in the MOODLE system). STUDENTS WITH ISP: 20% participation in the seminar. Preparation of a text analysis from a German textbook for primary schools. Special extra task to be specified in more detail in the MOODLE system.
