Analysis of professional texts. Analysis of authentic texts. Technical professional texts. Manuals. Scientific technical texts: monographs, final qualification theses. Humanities-oriented professional texts: monographs, final qualification theses.

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - understand the content and meaning of authentic texts and on this basis - characterise the specific features of the texts analysed - recognise the specific character of specialist terms in different types of authentic texts. - create didactic tasks for the relevant types of texts.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in teaching, presentation of the chosen topic in the seminar. For students with ISP: Completion of the same tasks as for students without ISP + additionally preparation of a seminar paper.
