Course content
1. Basic literature, choirmaster versus conductor 2. Gesture, beat, conducting schemes 3. Prebeats, closing of the piece 4. Male voices in the choir 5. Female voices in the choir 6. Children's choir, specifics 7. Choral repertoire, up to the Renaissance 8. Warming up 9. Clefs, tenor clef, division of voices 10. Choral repertoire, 17th and 18th centuries 11. Choral repertoire, 19th century to the present 12. Individual student performances, rehearsal of a simple composition

Learning outcomes
The course is taught in permanent contact with the choir, the student will learn how to conduct common choir rehearsals from the preparation of each singer's voice, handling of individual parts and control of the whole choral composition (handling of breaths, onset with pre-stroke, agogics, etc.).
The student will gain a basic understanding of choral leadership in order to further refine his/her independent work with the choir.
Prerequisites
Reading of violin, tenor and bass clefs; knowledge of the ranges of children's, women's and men's voices.

Assessment methods and criteria

Playing an instrument, which allows realization of harmonies, preferably the piano. Orientation in children's, female and male voice areas, movement imagination. To obtain the attestation: individual training of a three- or four-part composition with a choir (knowledge of all voices, harmonic interpretation on the piano), mastery of basic conducting schemes.
