Course content
|
The basic concepts- intellectual ability (sorting), mathematical abilities. The ontogenesis and structure of mathematical abilities. The course shall introduce the methods and means of developing mathematical abilities of young children, i. e. to provide them with activities aiming at the development of spatial imagination, with some ideas for solving word problems, and with number tasks. Methods for determining the level and the quality of mathematical skill shall be involved, too.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is: to familiarize the students with methods and means of developing mathematical abilities of young children, i. e. to provide them with activities aiming at the development of spatial imagination, with some ideas for solving word problems, and with number tasks.
Students will acquire the ability to develop mathematical skills of primary school pupils
