Course content
The system of mathematics methodology for primary schools, essential development tendencies in teaching mathematics. Analysis of specific topics from the General Educational Programme in the educational field of Mathematics and its application ? number and arithmetical operations, dependencies, relations and working with data, geometry in a plane and in space.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
This course provides a solid encompassment of the mathematical theory for basic schools. Methodological applications are emphasized.
In this course of study, the students gain competence to easily deal with the learning environment of the primary school mathematics lessons, to manage pupils' work, to evaluate the training results, and to creatively modify the teaching methods that they apply in mathematics lessons, in compliance with the age, mental, and social needs of their pupils.
Prerequisites
The successful completion of the course is conditioned by the mastery of basic mathematical skills acquired in the math courses of study and by the ability of the student to apply the aforementioned skills within the context of didactics.

Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

Active participation in seminars, submitting elaborated portfolio, which documents independent homework: (computer processing ? Word, PowerPoint)
