Course content
Content of the Thesis Practicum Course: The instruction within this course is conducted individually under the supervision of the thesis supervisors. The aim is for students to familiarize themselves with all the necessary materials and be prepared for the successful writing of their thesis. 1. Consultations with the thesis supervisor o Students will have individual consultations with their thesis supervisor, where they will discuss specific questions and problems related to the development of their thesis. 2. Research of academic sources o Students will conduct thorough research of relevant academic sources on the topic of their thesis, which will allow them to deepen the theoretical background and conceptual framework of their work. 3. Drafting a part of the thesis o Students will prepare a minimum scope of the thesis text in accordance with the formal requirements, including the formulation of objectives, elaborated theoretical background, and a plan for the methodological and conceptual processing. The credit evaluation for completing the Thesis Practicum course is assigned by the field guarantor based on the requirements listed in the "Requirements" section.

Objectives of the Thesis Practicum Course: For theses with a research component: Apply the acquired methods of empirical research: Students should be able to effectively use various methods of data collection, sorting, analysis, and interpretation that are relevant to their thesis. This skill will enable them to obtain high-quality research data and perform thorough analysis. Present the results of empirical research in practice: Students should be prepared to present and discuss the results of their research in the environment of schools, educational institutions, or other relevant organizations. This experience will help them verify the practical applicability and benefits of their research findings. Practically verify the proposed procedures: Students should be able to verify the validity and functionality of the methodological approaches they have proposed in their thesis. This feedback from practice will allow them to adjust or improve the proposed solutions if necessary. For theses without a research component: Provide a comprehensive characterization of the given area: Students should be able to provide a detailed description and analysis of the theoretical foundations and concepts relevant to their thesis. This skill will allow them to delve deeper into the studied issue. Finalize the thesis: Students should be able to complete their thesis in accordance with the formal requirements and standards set by the Palacký University in Olomouc. This skill will ensure that their qualification thesis is formally correct. By achieving these objectives, students will be prepared for the successful completion and defense of their thesis.

Student performance

Requirements for course completion: - Consultations with the thesis supervisor as needed, but at least 2 per semester - Preparation of a literature review of scholarly sources related to the thesis topic - If the thesis includes a research component, the student must demonstrate basic knowledge of statistical software for data analysis - If the thesis is not research-based, the student must demonstrate a deeper understanding of at least one piece of foreign academic literature related to the topic Credits will be awarded by the course guarantor based on the recommendation of the thesis supervisor, with the required skills and knowledge outlined above.
