Learning outcomes
This course builds on the Diploma Thesis 1 course and allows students to deepen and refine the skills necessary for successfully completing and defending their diploma thesis. The objective of the course is to: Support students in completing their diploma thesis: The course provides students with individual guidance and support from the supervisor and allows them to focus on fine-tuning all parts of the diploma thesis and fulfilling all formal requirements. Develop in students the skills necessary for a successful defense of their diploma thesis: Students learn how to effectively present and defend the results of their work, how to answer questions and how to manage the stressful situation of the defense. Deepen students' ability to think critically and reflect: The course allows students to further deepen their knowledge and skills in the field and improve their critical evaluation and interpretation of their own research findings. Get feedback on the diploma thesis from the supervisor and from other students: The course provides students with the opportunity to present and discuss their diploma thesis with the supervisor and with other students, gaining valuable advice and feedback. and prepare for its successful defense. At the same time, it allows them to develop key skills necessary for further academic or professional development.

Assessment methods and criteria

The requirements to fulfil the subject are as follows: - 2-4 consultations with the thesis advisor - Research of professional sources on the topic of the thesis - Elaborated part of the thesis in the scope of at least 30 pages and in the formal requirements according to the standard on Qualification Theses at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Olomouc - The elaborated thesis includes: Formulation of the objectives of the thesis Elaborated theoretical background of the thesis - key information on the topic based on the study of literature Plan of methodological and conceptual elaboration of the thesis (taking into account the chosen type of thesis)
