Course content
The most important ancient religions of Asia, Europe, Africa and America and their mythology (prehistoric religions, Egyptian religion, Mesopotamian religions, Zoroastrism, Greek religion, Roman religion, Celtic and German religions, Slavonic religions, African religious traditios, American religious traditions).

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
To present to students the religions of important nations, empires and civilizations of ancient Asia, Africa, Europe and America and also mythologies of these religions.
The students will be able to distinguish several phases of the story of religions, mythological figures and their fundamental chracteristics in important ancient cultures.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic Test, Dialog, Seminar Work

To pass the test of required knowledge, to take active part in the seminar, to compose and defend an essay dealing with selected myths of some ancient religion.
