Course content

Seminar teaching takes the form of an analysis of the individual chapters of the aforementioned book, the key themes and the contemporary theological debate related to the themes found. The perspective of the current pontificate of Pope Francis is reflected.

Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce participants to the latest theological reception of the work of Tomáš Halík and to deepen their understanding of the work of this theologian. Since Tomáš Halík significantly comments on and advances the thought and content of the pontificate of Pope Francis, it is also an integral part of the course to complement what T. Halík writes about with the ideas of the current pontificate, among others, in the light of the documents Evangelii gaudium and the mission of universities and theological faculties Veritatis gaudium. The content is a cursory reading of An Afternoon of Christianity, a debate on the text and a deepening of the global and personal context in relation to spirituality.
