Course content
|
Crisis events are currently represented primarily in a virtual environment. The course introduces students to the methods, interpretation and analysis of the representation of crisis events through multimedia channels and projects, and familiarises them with the basic principles of the digital environment. It provides a foundation for understanding concepts such as storytelling, UX and UI. It guides students in analysing narratives in multimedia practice. It focuses on the timing of work in the digital environment and on distinguishing between formal and content-related elements; it considers the appropriate structure of information and the timing of its publication. Learning outcomes
|
The aims of the programme and the learning outcomes are for students to: - be able to analyse the flow of information during crisis management through multimedia, taking into account the crisis lifecycle; - be able to apply the competences acquired to prepare potential crisis scenarios for organisations, institutions, managers and companies; to design a crisis scenario for working with websites and social media; and to make decisions regarding responsibilities in the event of a rapidly emerging crisis in relation to the presentation of information in a digital environment; - be familiar with and able to recognise the specific characteristics of information strategies: speed, ethical principles, reliability, accuracy and sustainability in relation to the digital environment; - be able to manage public reactions (e.g. panic, the spread of fear, fake news); - have mastered the basics of storytelling and be able to analyse its fundamental principles.
