Course content
|
The notion, goal and method of ecumenical theology, doctrinal foundations, importance of non-biological factors. Panorama of Christian Churches and Confessional Communities. The history of unification efforts. Division of ecumenical activities (spiritual, doctrinal, practical). Overview of the most important interconfessional dialogues. Models of Unity. Knowledge of specific questions of Czech ecumene.

Learning outcomes
|
The course will introduce the fundamentals of ecumenical theology and interreligious dialogue.
The student identifies the concept, goal and method of ecumenical theology, doctrinal foundations, importance of non-biological factors. classifies the panorama of Christian Churches and Confessional communities; interprets the history of unification efforts. critically assesses the division of ecumenical activities (spiritual, doctrinal, practical). Overview of the most important interconfessional dialogues; evaluates models of unity; explains the knowledge of specific questions of Czech ekumen.
