Assessment methods and criteria

The course ends with a credit and an exam. Students receive credit for continuous work during the semester. The prerequisite for successful completion of the course is preparation for the class (knowledge of the assigned texts) and active discussion of the topics in the seminar part of the course. Students will bring the assigned texts with them to class, preferably in printed form. The course literature is available in the UP library or the NEO system. The presence in class does not automatically mean that the requirements have been met - in case of unpreparedness the lecturer may assign make-up work as in the case of physical absence. A condition for taking an exam is obtaining credit (at the end of the teaching part of the semester). The examination is conducted in written form in the electronic learning system NEO. In order to pass the exam, a minimum of 65% of the total number of points must be obtained. In case the student has not completed the course and is enrolled in it repeatedly, he/she must again fulfill the conditions for credit and examination (unless otherwise agreed with the instructor at the beginning of the semester).
