Course content
|
The lessons will be divided into six thematic blocks. Each block will consist of a theoretical and practical (training) part. The theoretical and practical parts will be loosely interspersed to keep students' attention and give them regular space to practice new skills. Study topics: 1. Communication and self-knowledge 2. Rationality and emotion in the media 3. Copywriting, or the art of intelligibly written texts 4. Basic etiquette and self-presentation 5. Introducing and working with presentation programs 6. Reflection and getting feedback on your own project

Learning outcomes
|
Planning and preparation of the presentation, culture and content of expression, stress management before and during the lecture and the issue of effective teamwork. Work with presentation software with emphasis on MS PowerPoint (what features should an engaging presentation, the question of design, use of animations, etc.). Other formats for creating or presenting presentations (Prezi, Google Presentations, PDF presentations). Working with posters from their creation in MS Publisher to a presentation in a limited time. Working with information, timeliness and working with resources. Ethical issue of working with information.
After finishing the course, students will know their communication styles. They will be able to communicate without the use of "communication fouls," engage in constructive dialogue and resolve disputes without aggression. They will work critically with information, knowing when information is manipulative and why. They will understand the social context and the role of emotion in receiving information. They will be able to handle disinformation. Other competitions will be in communicating information to the general public in an understandable way. The graduate will know ways to get the attention of listeners (readers), will be able to choose the communication platform correctly (because even the best text on the wrong platform will be wasted). Students will also have practiced the basic social rules of etiquette and demeanour, and will know why politeness and consideration are an important element of any society.

Students must have a good command of the Czech language, be communicative and willing to enter into interactive activities.

Students will receive a credit for attending classes and sending the completed assignments by the specified date. Attendance is required. If for very serious reasons someone could not come, please contact me in time, we would agree on an individual task (I will accept the absence only for serious reasons).
