Objectives of the thematic block As part of the course, students will receive - basic knowledge of selected chapters from the history and doctrine of Christianity - Ability to search, update, reflect and interpret knowledge in the field of Christianity and Christian culture - ability to apply ethical principles and cultural paradigms in the study and interpretation of knowledge in the field of Christianity - ability to process reflected topics by various forms of media communication - the ability to defend the chosen interpretation procedure and model in accordance with ethical principles and respect for culture in the media processed and presented topics Contents of the thematic block Topics associated with the ecclesiastical environment and the Christian churches in their diversity, as well as current societal themes conceived through the lens of the Christian faith and spirituality, are continuously the subject of social discussions, which often raise ethical issues. Therefore, this subject is an integral part of the study curriculum. Lecture blocks within the course will focus on the following topics: - Christian and property - Christian and sexuality - A Christian with politics - Christian and social commitment - Christian and ecology - Christian and education, sports, art, culture Lectures will take place both in the form of regular lectures by the guarantor, but also in the form of so-called lectures by Czech and foreign specialists called in the framework of internationalization. Seminars are divided into thematic (dedicated to seminar teaching - 50 hours) and reflexive (dedicated to reflection on the study and the course of education 5 hours). Reflexive seminars are led by the program guarantor. Seminar topics - ethical issues and dilemmas in the field of ecology - ethical issues and dilemmas in the field of sexuality - analysis of media content Topics of methodological seminars - communication tools Seminars are realized in various teaching forms, eg in the form of a seminar workshop, panel discussion, focus groups, study and presentation of partial topics in classical seminar teaching, etc.). Selected seminars will also be led by the guarantor or invited lecturers. Exercise topics - within the course, students individually process through a selected media (text, audio, multimedia, web, blog, graphic presentation, video, etc.) a selected topic from the discussed issues - submit the processed topic as a sub-project, including thematic and communication analysis and a list of used sources - at the same time prepare a communication and content analysis of the project of one of their randomly selected colleagues Exercises will take place in the form of practical workshops. Selected exercises will be supervised by the guarantor.
