Course content
The Propaedeutic Seminar guides students through the basic structure of their studies. It introduces students to the general principles of scholarly work, including the use of Internet resources, or to competences in the use of electronic resources, Internet archives and book search services. This introduction will include, among other things, a summary of formal and citation rules. The general aim of the seminar is to provide an overview of the possibilities of working with disciplinary sources in the context of study and to build skills in critical work with sources. Learners are provided with competence in working with the abstract, syllabus, lecture, professional article, final qualifying paper, poster, review, syllabus and others. The course introduces distance learning students to the online learning environment and prepares and guides them through distance learning. Course Content: 1) Introduction to the aim of the study and the principles of the thesis. 2) Learners will learn how to work with online resources and the school's virtual environment 3) Research and self-study

The aim of the propedeutic seminar is - to introduce students to the ways of working in a professional style - to learn the textual patterns of professional style with emphasis on their written form (annotation, report, essay, comparison, research) - learning the spoken form of professional style (argumentation, discussion and debate) - introduction to the standards and requirements for writing a master's thesis

The student organizes his/her studies based on the distance support, i.e. study materials and instructions in the LMS; he/she participates in the webinars and completes continuous short tests (approximately 4). Requirements for students: active participation in the class, passing the final test. The test at the end of the semester verifies the ability to apply the knowledge and competencies acquired.
