Course content
The course teaches how to work with text as an important means of information in the life cycle of a crisis. The basic properties of information given through text are speed, content correctness, comprehensibility and appropriate placement. In the course, the student acquires the skill to identify these characteristics and work with them. Proper written communication is key because precisely formulated ideas allow you to communicate information clearly, express yourself, and share information with others effectively and intelligibly. Subject content: 1. Preparation of text with regard to placement 2. Form of text expressions 3. Working with language so that text expressions are accurate, up-to-date and understandable, and also that no essential information is missing from the text 4. Preparation of a message for the internal component of the given company or institution with regard to the different types of addressees of this information 5. Target group and conditions for correct reception of the text message 6. Text analysis - protecting the company's reputation 7. Text analysis - acceptance of responsibility for a crisis situation 8. Analysis of the text - disclaimer of responsibility for the crisis situation 9. Text analysis - forms of apology in a crisis situation 10. Text analysis - before, during and after the crisis - appropriate forms of communication 11. Presentation of final theses 12. Analysis of semester work

Learning outcomes
In the course, students will practice how to prepare a text in a short period of time that helps to communicate the facts in a crisis situation. In the exercises, they will develop the competence to prepare an appropriately long and content-oriented text for a specified target group in a short period of time and under pressure.

The student organises his/her studies on the basis of distance support, i.e. study materials and instructions in the LMS; a set of study materials (video recordings, texts) accessible in the distance support in the LMS.
