Course content
The course introduces the basic principles of audiovisual production in relation to the transmission of information during the life cycle of a crisis. It prepares students to use audio outputs and analyze them across information channels. It shows how the audiovisual form is worked on various levels, including social networks. In a series of exercises, students learn how to effectively convey information using images, sound and editing. They will learn to recognize manipulation in audiovisual production and assess the ethical aspects of processing problematic audiovisual recordings. They get to know and learn strategies for acting in front of the camera. Subject content: 1. Audiovisual form and possibilities of use - examples from practice 2. Basic building elements, formal construction - sample analysis 3. Content structure in audiovisual formats - analysis of samples 4. Possibilities of transmitting information in an audiovisual work 5. Analysis - in front of the camera 6. Analysis - in front of the camera - reflection 7. Analysis - behind the camera - what determines the perception of the content in the image and sound 8. Analysis - editing - how editing can influence the content - the question of image objectivity and rhythm 9. Analysis - selected contents related to the crisis strategy - contents 10. Analysis - selected contents related to crisis strategy - form 11. Analysis - selected contents related to crisis strategy - application 12. Final evaluation

- Students will understand the principles of creating an audiovisual work as well as the form and method of processing; - know the technical requirements for the creation of an audiovisual work; - understand the methods of reception of an audiovisual work; - be able to analyse the information provided through audiovisual production; - be able to distinguish and assess which information is useful/useful/useless/redundant in audiovisual production; - be able to prioritise the effective content of an audiovisual work during a crisis situation.

The student organizes his/her studies on the basis of distance support, i.e. study materials and instructions in the LMS; a set of study materials (video recordings, texts) accessible in the distance support in the LMS.
