Course content
Students will be acquainted with generally valid principles and didactic procedures applicable in the teaching of computer science at secondary schools. The didactic analysis of the usual thematic units of the subject of compulsory secondary computer science will be done in the lectures of the subject, both in terms of content and methodical. As part of the exercise, students will design and, in a subsequent discussion, advocate an exemplary lesson on a given topic. Topics discussed: 1. Informatics teaching at various types of secondary schools 2. Compulsory vs. optional teaching of computer science 3. Teaching topics related to hardware and history of informatics and computer technology 4. Teaching the basics of working with computers 5. Tuition of office software 6. Teaching about website creation
