Course content
1. Introduction, course organization. HRM Characteristics, Goals. 2. HRM Trends, Human capital, Knowledge worker. 3. Western roots of HRM vs. Eastren traditions 4. Vision, mission, HRM strategy. 5. Job design, job description. 6. Personal planing, methods, recruitment. 7. Methods of recruitment, documents required. 8. First stage of employee selection, selection procedures. 9. Recent problems of recruitment and selection, orientation and adaptation of the new employee. 10 Personal marketing, employer reputation management. Leadership styles. Organizational culture creating. 11. Case studies

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
To introduce human resource management in the first stage of employment, i.e. from recruitment to full orientation and adaptation of the employee.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Seminar Work

Credit: E-learning system Moodle is used as a educational tool. Attendance 75% and tasks fulfillment is required. The student proves complex orientation in HRM processes during the final discussion. The students log in Moodle according to guidelines on http://www.kae.cz/moodle-navod/
