Learning outcomes
The objective of VCJ/BE2 is to develop language skills of business English and to acquire useful skills for working in international companies. The course focuses on building vocabulary, developing reading and listening with understanding and promoting speaking skills, all within the selected topics. The course includes case studies enabling the students to get a real insight into the problems, to discuss them, to consider their solutions, and to improve argumentation skills and team work.
Acquisition of specialised terminology in business on the B1 - B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
Students must have a minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Analysis of linguistic

Students are required to pass a credit test with the minimum result of 70% and pass an oral exam successfully. A student can gain up to 4% bonus if the following requirements are met: a) if a written assignment is completed successfuly and submitted by its deadline (2% bonus) b) if the attendance of a student is 100%, then he/she is entitled to gain extra 2% bonus. The final grade is based on the result of the credit test, active participation during the semester and the result of the oral examination.
