A graduate of the follow-up Master's degree program in Social Pedagogy should also be equipped with knowledge of the law. Subject Law for Social Educators provides students with a legislative background important for the future practice of a Social educator. Basic Topics: - Socio-legal protection of children - basic procedures and principles of working with children at-risk and their families in accordance with applicable legislation - Substitute family care - differences between individual forms, the basic essence of the current NDP system, legislative anchoring - Child as a perpetrator - procedure, decision-making and execution of juvenile justice, types of measures - Crime against children and young people - child as a particularly vulnerable victim, types of crime, stage of criminal proceedings - Issues of social services - types of social services, community planning of social services

Learning outcomes
|
The subject Law for Social Educators will introduce legislation mainly in the area of family law, social and legal protection of children and other laws related to the profession of social educator. Practical examples will provide an opportunity to deal with individual cases, allowing students to better understand and guide each provision.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to: - identify the basic legal standards needed for the work of a social educator - apply and use knowledge of legislation in specific situations
