Course content
|
The student will become familiar with the issue of CAN syndrome - physical and psychological abuse; neglect; sexual abuse; domestic violence; prevention of CAN syndrome and the role of the social pedagogue, legislation, etc.

Learning outcomes
|
The seminar addresses the causes and management of Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) syndrome among abused children and youth. It also examines the prevention of this phenomenon in contemporary society. Students will gain knowledge in this field.
Ability of recognition of the causes and resolutions of Syndrom CAN.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Final project
In pairs, students will create a project - Intervention campaign related to the issue of the subject (e.g. CAN syndrome, sexual abuse, domestic violence, violence against children, abuse...). Students will present the campaign in class. The subject will then be concluded with a written test. Students must have at least 80% class attendance. Students with an individual education plan will create an intervention campaign related to the issue of the subject (e.g. CAN syndrome, sexual abuse, domestic violence, violence against children, abuse...); must have at least 50% participation in classes.
