Course content
A content of basic cathegories within general methodology, their significance for teaching. Provides information on education in a Czech school, main elements of the educational process (pupil, teacher, curriculum, curricular activities) and on pedagogical and psychological diagnostics in teacher´s work.

Learning outcomes
The subject General Didactics focuses on the definition of the concept didactics, various notions of didactics and on classification of didactics in the system of educational sciences. It deals with questions of mutual relationships of general didactics, psychodidactics, field didactics, school didactics etc. In this connection it provides a definition of general didactics and its subject, reflects the content and process of education which it elaborates theoretically. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students will gain basic knowledge of didactics on methods classification and forms and their usage in practice.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of psychology and pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Didactic Test, Dialog

Elaboration of 2 free-time activities, test on basic concepts of general didactics (at least 70%) and pass the oral part of the examination successfully (dialogue on a given topic). The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
