Course content
The following topics will be discussed in the course: 1. Basics of Special Education 2. Individual Types of Special Educational Needs 3. Family of a Child with Special Educational Needs 4. Education of Students with Special Educational Needs

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 8 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of special education.
Students will have the basic knowledge to differentiate particular types of disabilities and will be able to adequately use basic special education terminology. They will be equipped also with basic skills for communication with people with disabilities.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work, Written exam

Students will find three newsreels related to the problems faced by people with disabilities. This course will end with the test. Current requirements and deadlines are listed in Moodle.
