Course content
Program of social pedagogy among studied programs at UP, study regulations, structure of UP, particular faculties. Using of library services. Writing of professional papers - writing of academic text. Searching for resources, research, topic selection, thematic bibliographic research. Working with literature. Norm ČSN ISO 690. Citation and its meaning, citation ethics, general principles for citations and their structure. References to citations in the text, examples of references to literature, exercises. Formal adjustment of student works, selection of suitable lexical means, punctuation in the sentence.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course Introduction to the study of social pedagogy is for students to: - understand the concept of social pedagogy study at CMTF in Olomouc and to be able to understand the duties of a university student; - explain and name the search capabilities of resources for creating an academic text and know how to use it in practice; - analyze the credibility of sources for their usage; - know, explain and apply the rules of citation ethics in practice; - know and use citate norm ČSN ISO 690; - write their own paper that will fit the citation ethics and rules of an academic text.
Students will acquire knowledge about university studies and they also will acquire knowledge and skills related to the study process, learning and academic writing.

Requirements for completing the course and obtaining credit: 1. Active participation in teaching. 2. Attendance without absence. 3. Final written work focused on the fulfillment of assigned tasks/test. Students will receive the assignment and conditions for successful completion of the written work/test on the same day they will write the work. Assignments will be completed in the faculty building on the set date. Assignments will focus on basic skills associated with study and academic writing. The condition is the use of a computer/laptop/tablet, etc. and access to the Internet. 70% in the test is required to complete the course. Students with specific educational needs will have course completion requirements adapted to their type of disability. The modification of the requirements may include an extension of time for written tests and papers, alteration of the point assessment in written papers, or changes to the classroom environment and necessary study aids.
