Course content
|
The main topics are: prevention and education in a multicultural society in the context of leisure (including migration and integration of immigrants, including multicultural education).

Learning outcomes
|
The course covers current issues in social pedagogy, especially on prevention. The course also offers the education and life in a multicultural society in reference to leisure (including the topic of migration and integration of immigrants).
After passing this subject students will know and use appropriately different types of methods of social education activities. On the basis of studying the topic concerning education in a multicultural society, students should be able to define the basic concepts of multicultural education and understand it.They will be able to understand the situation of migrants and minorities in the Czech Republic and in the world and creatively work with the following information to support intercultural education of children and the youth in different variety of facilities. Based on the movie and authentic articles they will be able to assess the environmental situation of another ethnicity, religion, etc., to understand their own feelings related to this issue and to work creatively with this understanding and information in their social and educational work.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
Active participation in seminars (26. April), reading recommended literature, passing oral exam (discussion on a given topic), lectures are taught in a hybrid way (more information in Moodle). The student will bring a list of literature studied, including an article in a foreign language. As you will have noticed in Stag, the first four lectures will be hybrid, i.e. together with the full-time students, where you can come to class or join online or listen to the lectures recorded in MOODL.
