Course content
|
Continuous pedagogical practice is individual and focuses on a deeper insight into the functioning of a particular organization with social profiling where a social educator can apply. Students will choose their preferred facility based on their own interest with a target group agreed by the supervisor of the internship. Students will know the functioning and operation of the facility, including personnel legislative and economic security. Furthermore, students will apply the knowledge of management acquired in individual subjects. They will get acquainted with the problems of equipment, but also with the possibilities of development. Students choose one of the problem areas (one problem) and on the basis of their knowledge they will elaborate a proposal for realization of the change in the selected area.

Learning outcomes
|
Objectives: - deepening of knowledge in the field of social pedagogy methods, out-of-school didactics and their application when working with different groups of clients in the given institution - creation, planning and organization of activities suitable for clients in the selected facility - development of values and generally ethical principles through social-educational action - application of knowledge and skills in the field of management and management and their application in the real conditions of organizations
Competences: - competence in the creation, planning and organization of activities and projects suitable for different target groups of social pedagogy - competence to use knowledge and skills from vocational subjects - knowledge of the system of services provided, legislative anchoring of equipment and skills to use methods and forms in the different types of facilities in which the social educator is employed - competence of self-reflection in relation to the target group

Prerequisites
|
First of all the students are due to pass a range of pedagogical subjects and in all cases they must be legally capable to work with children and the youth (i.e. it is not probihited for them to work with children and the youth), and adults.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio, Final Report
Student is due to register for the practice. The registration conditions are given on the educational website ipraxe.upol.cz. Student is due to be present at the working place the given numer of hours (i.e. a 100% attendace is reguired ). The student is expected to fullfil the tasks given by the department as well as he/she should participace actively in the activities required by his/her mentor. The student has to hand in his/her final paper and practice diary within 2 weeks from the last day of his/her practice. Accepting the final paper by the teacher is necessary for the credit. The student is required to attend the introductory and final seminars for the internship. Students with individual study plan (after agreement with the internship mentor) complete the internship in the same way as distance study program students, according to the applicable methodology.
