Course content
|
Considering the target groups of social pedagogy, social pedagogues should be equipped with the basics of crisis intervention for their practice. In this course, students will be introduced to the theoretical basis regarding crisis intervention as well as casework and practical application.

Learning outcomes
|
- specification of crisis intervention (difference between crisis intervention, therapy and counselling) - knowledge of the concept of crisis (types, course and reactions in crisis situations) - knowledge of solution options (natural strategies, lay help, social network, self-help) - knowledge of forms of crisis intervention - knowledge of the basics of crisis intervention and establishing contact with people in crisis - common topics of crisis intervention in the work of a social educator
- Acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of crisis intervention (CI, PFA), distinguishing types of crisis and options for assistance, knowledge of intervention with a client in crisis.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
Active participation in the lesson - the student must practically demonstrate knowledge of crisis intervention in a given model situation. - 80% participation in the lesson - preparation of a case study (working with a person in crisis, max. 2 standard pages) - (see Moodle). Students with ISP will prepare a seminar paper in the form of a case study (3-5 NS) - how to proceed in a given model situation (see Moodle).
