Course content |
Considering the target groups of social pedagogy, social pedagogues should be equipped with the basics of crisis intervention for their practice. In this course, students will be introduced to the theoretical basis regarding crisis intervention as well as casework and practical application.

- specification of crisis intervention (difference between crisis intervention, therapy and counselling) - knowledge of the concept of crisis (types, course and reactions in crisis situations) - knowledge of coping options (natural strategies, lay help, social network, self-help) - knowledge of the basics of crisis intervention and contact with people in crisis - common themes of crisis intervention in the work of social pedagogues

For students of combined studies: active participation in the seminar and elaboration of a case study (work with a person in crisis, max. 2 standard pages).
