Course content
Introduction to Management:** Basic concepts, historical development of management, and the specific characteristics of management in social work (non-profit vs. publicly funded organizations). Managerial Functions in Practice:** Planning service development, organizing teams, monitoring and control mechanisms, and decision-making processes. Leadership and Human Resource Management:** Leadership, motivation of professionals in helping professions, teamwork, and prevention of burnout syndrome. Strategic Management of Organizations:** Defining mission, vision, and organizational values; analysis of the internal and external environment (SWOT analysis); quality management in social services. Introduction to Marketing in Social Services:** Specific features of non-profit marketing, the marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion) applied to the needs of clients and donors. Fundraising and Public Relations:** Resource acquisition (individual, corporate, and grant funding), building relationships with the public, and enhancing the organization's reputation. Social Media Communication:** Managing social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram), creating content for the social sector, community building, and crisis communication in the online environment. AI in Management and Marketing:** Practical applications of generative artificial intelligence for writing grant proposals, press releases, streamlining administrative tasks, and planning social media content. Basics of Graphic Design for Professional Practice:** Principles of visual communication, working with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), and creating posters, infographics, and annual reports.
