The aim is to gain theoretical knowledge about supervision as a part of social work and as a means of systematically developing one's own professional competence, including training in some supervisor skills. It includes reflection on one's own activities and self-reflection.
The student will be able to navigate various approaches to supervision, propose an appropriate type of supervision for certain social work services (workplaces) and select examples to illustrate good practice, practically cooperate with the supervisor (including co-creating a tripartite supervision contract and evaluating the supervision provided) and sensitively deal with ethical problems and dilemmas that arise from supervision.
