Course content
Topics: Stylish interpretation of folk songs, stylish interpretation of artificial compositions from different stylistic periods (vocal polyphony, renaissance, baroque, romanticism, contemporary music), stylish interpretation of polyphonic a cappella compositions with various instrumental accompaniments, stylish interpretation of popular music and jazz, hymns

Learning outcomes
Chamber choir Ateneo UP Olomouc. Choir members are selected from the whole Palacky University based on a selection procedure. High-guality singing skills are a must. The choir is a representative body, therefore regular attendance and presence at all activities and performances is required. Regular sessions are held on Tuesdays and Wednesday 6 pm - 8 pm in the choir assembly room (UC UP Olomouc - konvikt). Completion requirements: 80% attendance. Objectives: After completing the course, students should be able to: - practically master the basics of voice education - have experienced basic choir habits (correct breathing, creating a tone, equalizing vocals, alternating breathing, correct articulation) - sing your voice from memory or from sheet music - stylishly interpret choral compositions from different periods and genres - react to the conductor's gestures - be able to read your sheet music - accept all instructions of the conductor - sing according to all the instructions given in the notation - on the basis of testing the knowledge of the repertoire, perform in concert with the university choir at home and abroad - actively participate in all choir events at home and abroad (concentrations, projects) THE COURSE IS INTENDED ONLY FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS IN THE ERASMUS PROGRAM!!

Student performance

Compulsory participation in tutorials (or seminars). Theoretical knowledge pertaining to the given issues, and if need be also the related practical skills.Compliance with conditions (mastering current repertoire ) for participation in concerts. Credit is awarded for active participation in concerts !
