Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at acquiring competences for the application of typical musical diagnostic strategies in research and pedagogical work. Aims: After completing the course, students will be able to: " name the basic music psychological concepts of each thematic area, " define the areas of application of music diagnostics, " distinguish the features of standardized and non-standardized tests of musicality, " characterize the most important diagnostic tools and their representatives, " assess the standard features of musicality in children of younger and middle school age and adolescence, " distinguish cognitive and social aspects of musicality development. Topics: Manifestations of musicality as a subject of musical diagnostics. Diagnostics of musical abilities. Non-standardized tests of musical abilities - an overview. Standardized tests of musical abilities - an overview. Musical taste. Diagnostics of musical interests and attitudes. Reliability and validity of tests. Elementary music psychology and diagnostics.
