Course content
|
Archive section, as the whole Department of History, emphasize individual research of its students. That is why we want students to be motivated even during their BA studies to focus on their research interests and we are convinced that they can learn a lot this way. Ability to write expert paper which is published in magazine or such is a proof that student has learned a lot. Archive section of Department of History FF UP is often participating in competition declared by Czech archive society, even BA students can participate.

Learning outcomes
|
Aim of this course is to introduce students to problematics of creation of expert paper - from choosing the topic, heuristics to writing of expert paper - through personal experience. Other aim is to motivate students to publish and present their research in written form.
Students is able to understand principles of writing an expert paper. Student had to formulate topic of the paper, perform heuristics, specify aim of the research and try to explain it in the text. It is desirable to consult the research with someone from the Department of History. Course leads to strengthening abilities of students to do research and to publish its results.
