| Course content |
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with archival fonds, in which early modern documents can be found. The attention will be paid to the oldest documents of cities, documents related to guilds, schools, parish officies. There will be also seminars about collections of regional and provincial archives, which contain archives of estates, monasteries and also family archives. The seminar provides detailed description of these collections - their structure, a history of the creator, scope and content, diplomatic characteristics of texts. Some of these documents will be read in classes. PZ

The aim of the course, which is focused on auxiliary historical sciences, is to present to students archive collections in wich are different types of early-modern era sources: an archive of a city, guild, school, parish office, bishopry, estate or family. Every type will be presented using an organizing scheme and specific documents - this documents will also be used for a practicing of paleographic and diplomatic, marginally also sphragistic, heraldic, epigraphic, chronologic and metrologic, knowledges of a student.
Seminars will follow lectures and seminars of Auxiliary historical sciences and will solidify students' knowledge of a descriptiom of diplomatic documents, seals, heraldic relics, dates transformations and of metrological data. The most important is to solidify students' ability to read texts from 16th to 18th century. PZ |
