Course content |
Subject DR2 continue to DR1. We advise to write both subjects. Russia at the end of czarist mode. Inner-political and internationally-political situation. Participation of Russia in the Word War I. February state revolution of 1917. Period of attempt for democratic state system from spring to autumn 1917. Bolshevik state revolution in October 1917. Civil war in Russia. Sensation of after-revolutionary period in Russia and its witnesses (foreigners, journalists, politicians etc., Czech and Slovakian legionaries). Evidences from sources, memoirs, diaries, memories, political thinkings and conclusions. The work of T. G. Masaryk "Russia and Europe and World revolution"; the work of Jan Slavík to history of Russia. Memoirs of legionaries. Memoirs of Russian emigrants. Commentaries of journalists. Description of the everyday life in Russia. The main features of communist regime in Russia. System of governance, organization of intrastate matters. Internationally-political position and effort. Gradual widening of communistic power at the nearby area. Rise of the USSR and its territorial development. Nations and nationalities of the USSR and their status. Fates of Russian peasants. Position of Russian intelligence. Russian concentration camps for political prisoners. Russian-German cooperation between First and Second World War. Participation of USSR in the Second World War. Interests of USSR in world order after the Second World War. The expansion of communist regimes in the world in a context of the position of USSR as one of winners in the Second World War. Characterization of the concept of the stalinism. Period of the reign of Chruščov. Epoch of the reign of Brežněv. Change in a policy in the half of 80's. Gorbačov and his policy. Reception of Gorbačov in Russia and in the world. The main changes in the USSR at the break of 80's and 90's of the 20th century.
