Course content
1. Public and estate administration of Czech Lands in the Middle Ages. The Czechoslovak Republic and its administrative development. 2. Administration in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. 3. A monarch: his lection, corronation etc. The development of administration until the Hussite´s era. 4. Colloquiums and general assemblies, assemblies of various countries and regions. 5. Courts. 6. Administration of the country in the Hussite´s era. 7. The development of the public administration until the estate monarchy. 8. Public administration after the White Mountain till Maria Theresa. 9. Enlightement reforms of public administration and its development till 1848. HF

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquiant students with the main features of the development of public administration in the Czech lands (knowledge of the history of public administration; historical sources) in the international context. Students can deepen their knowledge mot only in a relation to general history, but also to sources of historiography. HF
Students will get the overview of the history of public administration until 1848 and will be able to apply it in practice. HF

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Archivists (obligatory): credit requirements = a credit test, a paper (a powerpoint presentation about a central administration fund). Seminar: credit requirements = a paper (a powerpoint presentation about a central administration fund). HF
