Course content
The language instruction is based on the textbook Allez hop! Francouzština pro každého 1 (Jarmila Beková, Brno 2016). During the semester, the 3d and 4th lessons of the textbook are taught. To ensure sufficient and effective practice of the grammar and vocabulary included in these seven lessons, the teachers provides other, supplementary exercices. Likewise, supplementary materials are used to further develop students´ listening and speaking skills. HF

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The course aims to develop students´ communicative skills in French (speaking, listening). Attention is also paid to gradual build-up of students´ vocabulary (of everyday life, especially) and, last but not least, to acquirement of French grammar, with an emphasis put on its practical use. HF
Students broaden their knowledge of French grammar with demonstrative and possessive pronouns, irregular adjectives, new irregular verbs (savoir, vouloir, comprendre,devoir, venir, croire, faire), future with "aller + infinitive", with expression of order, with passé composé, reflexive verbs, infinitive structures or structure with "il y a". Their vocabulary and communicative skills are developped especially in the areas of time expressions, personal description, travelling, accommodation, describing one's way etc. HF
Prerequisites
Students are supposed to have basic knowledge of French, corresponding to the first 5 lessons in the textbook Francouzština pro začátečníky/Le français pour vous. HF

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Credit requirements: class participation, preparing for every class, doing homework, during the semester passing 3 small tests. HF
