Course content
|
Classes deal with the development of inner policy and economics in Great Britain, France, West Germany, USSR and Italy between the years 1945 and 1989. The course points out the specificity of the respective states, makes comparisons and searches for the identical traits. The analysis of the foreign policy of these states is given on the background of the conflict between East and West, North and South.

Learning outcomes
|
One-semester course traces the inner development of the foreign policy of five European states: Great Britain, France, West Germany, Italy and USSR between the years 1945-1989. Major events and features of development are discussed. The course is compatible with Chapters of European History after 1945 and Chosen Chapters of the History of Communism.
Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in their eventual pedagogical or academic work.
