Course content
The course aims at shorter historical period, especially at the 14th and the 15th centuries in Europe, and the attention will be paid mainly to political, social and ecclesiastical life. The seminar focuses on the most typical phenomena and problems of the late medieval Europe (e.g. political systems and concepts, Black Death in Europe, Jews, Church and spirituality, crusades, Renaissance and humanism, Burgundy, Hungary etc).

Learning outcomes
Seminars concentrate on the analysis of the main historical problems of the later Middle Ages, and relevant literature and sources.
Students will be able to work with late medieval sources and will work on social, church and cultural history of the later Middle Ages.
Prerequisites
Students should have a basic knowledge of the political history of the later Middle Ages in Europe.

Written exam, Essay, Student performance

Participation in the classes and class discussions, preparation at home, paper, final test.
