Course content
Seminar topics: - PVH in the long 19th century (palaeography, numismatics, metrology, historical chronology) - on-line database of digitized sources and literature - history of Olomouc University and education in general, studies at the Faculty of Arts in the 19th century - newspapers and magazines as sources - ego-documents as a source - sources of a collective nature (registers, censuses, school catalogues) - schematisms - practical tasks

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to practically apply the knowledge gained during the basic auxiliary sciences course concerning the typical material and historical sources for the "long" 19th century.
The student has an overview of the development of auxiliary historical sciences in the 19th century and of selected types of historical sources typical for this period.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Czech and world history of the 19th century and of auxiliary historical sciences is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Written exam

Active participation in the class, preparation for the seminar. Homework consisting of collecting 120 short examples of Neo-Gothic writing (according to the criteria).
